The design purpose of this machine is to make it easier for customers to cut large-sized steel materials.

Introducing Bisontec 14” Metal Cold Cutting Saw : BW380

Because this is an industrial machine, we have implemented a series of protective measures for safety reasons.

Under-voltage protection: when the voltage is lower than the rated value, the working current of the motor will increase significantly. Excessive current can cause a sharp rise in the temperature of the motor winding. Prolonged or frequent exposure to this state can lead to aging and burning of the winding insulation layer, and even demagnetization of the motor permanent magnet, resulting in direct scrapping. Under voltage protection will automatically cut off the circuit when the voltage drops below the threshold, avoiding motor overload damage.

When the Cold Cutting Saw experiences a sudden drop in speed or jamming due to under voltage, the operator may forcefully apply external force to push the tool (such as cutting or drilling), which can easily cause the tool to jam and rebound, resulting in safety accidents such as collisions and scratches.

The automatic shutdown function of under voltage protection can prevent the occurrence of such dangerous working conditions from the source.

Over current protection: The core function is to monitor the circuit current in real-time, automatically cut off the power supply when the current exceeds the safety threshold, protect the core components of the tool, and avoid safety risks.

Locked rotor protection: The locked rotor protection of electric tools is a specialized protection function for motor rotors that are stuck and unable to rotate. Its core function is to quickly cut off the power supply circuit when the motor is completely locked and unable to rotate, avoiding the motor and circuit system from being burned out due to extreme high currents, while ensuring the safety of operators.

Over temperature protection: When the motor operates under high load for a long time (such as continuous cutting of thick steel by a cold cutting saw) and has poor heat dissipation, the winding temperature will continue to rise. Excessive temperature can cause accelerated aging, carbonization, and even melting and short circuiting of the winding insulation layer; For the permanent magnets of brushless motors, high temperatures can also cause demagnetization, resulting in a decrease in motor torque and permanent performance degradation. The over temperature protection will shut down when the temperature exceeds the standard, and can only restart after the temperature drops back to the safe range.

Soft start: 2S Soft start is a control technology for smooth starting of motors, with the core function of avoiding large current surges and sudden torque changes during motor start-up, protecting tool components, improving operational safety, and extending service life.

Constant speed: The constant speed function of electric tools refers to the control technology that automatically adjusts the output power and maintains stable motor speed when the load changes. Its core function is to ensure consistency in cutting/polishing operations, improve machining accuracy, and optimize tool operating efficiency.

The speed fluctuations caused by load changes can cause the tool body to shake and rebound, requiring the operator to grip and control it with extra force. The constant speed function keeps the speed stable and the body runs smoother, reducing operational fatigue and minimizing operational errors and safety hazards caused by shaking.

Constant current: When cutting, stable current means smoother torque output, and the tool will not experience speed fluctuations due to small changes in load, ensuring the uniformity and accuracy of the machined surface.

Fault indication: It is a function that provides intuitive prompts for abnormal working conditions and fault types of tools through indicator lights, display screens, or buzzers. Its core function is to quickly locate the cause of faults, guide users to handle them correctly, avoid the expansion of faults, and reduce maintenance difficulty and costs.
